WebbWhen you change the root folder, that means every library you sync will be under that folder. For example, if you change it to "C:\mysyncfolders\", then OneDrive or SharePoint will create a folder under that folder for your library files. OneDrive and SharePoint will not put anything in the root folder directly. WebbThe folder will have files with multiple root names in the folder, example there could also be files named "test_file_2.png", "test_file_2.ai", "test_file_2.svg" also in the folder. So there would be 6 total files in the folder, but only 2 root names.

Check Share and Strorage Management to see if anyone is in the Share, kick them out if they are. Use Explorer to get to the folder being shared and Right Click on it and turn off the Share.
