WebFeb 22, 2024 · Lanegan, who followed a long stint as lead vocalist for the proto-grunge band Screaming Trees with a distinguished career as an impassioned solo singer-songwriter, has died. IE 11 is not supported. Towards the end of 1989, Screaming Trees briefly became a part of the roster for the prominent independent label Sub Pop. The label released the band's EP Change Has Come in December of 1989. Half of it was produced by Fisk and the other half was produced by Jack Endino.
