WebApr 27, 2014 · Just my opinion: I notice that the death wobble only appears in Harleys with rubber-mounted engines, that is, the Road King and Dyna series. You don't hear of Fatboys with that problem. I think the frames as originally designed used the bolted engine to add rigidity. It is lack of rigidity (among other things, like trail) which causes the wobble. WebFeb 2, 2014 · It was very easy to do. After I was done the Jeep ran quiet. However, between 41 miles per hour and 52 miles per hour there was a death wobble. Evidently the damaged wheel bearing hid the death wobble. With the new wheel bearing and tighter tolerances the death wobble was extremely violent sometimes and other times manageable. Solution:
