WebMore races can be made playable (e.g. angels) by conquering their sites in fortress mode. Dwarves can usually start with steel weapons, enter a martial trance when fighting multiple foes at once, and can see in the dark. As a smaller creature, they're unable to wear human clothing and armor, but wear the same size as elves and goblins.

Slaughter everything but the females and maybe 1-2 males for breeding.
